Some dreams are born from passion and fed by pure determination. That's exactly the story of Base Margherita: the tale of two young men, Antonello and Mino, and their deep desire to create a place where pizza would mean home, quality, and redemption.
Our adventure started uphill. We signed the lease for the venue in September, just before the COVID period swept everything away. We hadn't even opened our doors yet, but the rent had to be paid every month. To keep that dream alive, which seemed doomed before it even began, we rolled up our sleeves: during the week we planned the venue, and on weekends we worked as employees in other pizzerias to save every single euro.
“Today, every time we stretch out a dough and see the dining room full, we remember where we started and how far we've come to get here.”
Those were months of great sacrifice, doubt, and sleepless nights, but we never gave up. Almost a year later, in July, the Base Margherita oven was finally lit for the first time.
“When you come visit us, we don't just serve you a pizza: we offer you the fruit of our perseverance, our care for ingredients, and our love for this work.”
— Antonello & Mino, FoundersPassion, quality, and redemption are the guiding words of Base Margherita. Every pizza that comes out of our oven tells the story of the road we've traveled to get here.

Our customers' satisfaction is our finest pizza. Here are some of the reviews we've received on Google.
I came back again this year on a warm evening, tables set outside on a quiet little street, staff kind and helpful, the inside felt very small to me. Excellent pizza. At the end of dinner they treat you to two sweet tarallini.
The pizza was one of the best I've ever eaten, great flavor, perfect leavening, with very high-quality ingredients. Will I come back? Definitely yes, because Ceglie is beautiful and the pizza was too good.
Found this pizzeria online during a vacation in Ceglie (a really lovely little town in Puglia). Very good Neapolitan-style pizza. Fast service. Small but functional venue. Recommended.
